Rock the Bells + Bumbershoot = ?
A few people have thought it, but Ear Candy’s Travis Hay is probably one of the first to actually say it. Could Bumbershoot and Rock the Bells be joining forces later this summer?

Could a Bumbershoot main stage spot be an unannounced destination for the whole festival? If not the whole thing, what about a few of the headliners? It’s quite an awesome slew of hip-hop heavyweights and a lot of them have been on the Bumbershoot main stage before.
Just a thought …
Add this to the fact that Bumbershoot’s current lineup is noticeably lacking hip-hop and this rumor may not only be realistic, but also plausible.
Then again, nothing is official and the prospects of two huge U.S. festivals joining forces seems a little out of the ordinary.

A few years back Bumbershoot joined up with the Warped Tour, so I think it is possible….Although, as pointed out on comments on Travis’ blog a lot of the acts have been at bumbershoot in the last couple of years……
If this rumor is true, Bumbershoot will flip from a lack of hip hop to an abundance of great acts: Brother Ali, Saul Williams and Del; plus Nas, Tribe, Mos-Def and/or the Pharcyde.
I bet Murs is included in the next wave of additions regardless.
