Brand new Weezer song?
With the runaway single, “Pork & Beans“, currently sending the alternative rock world into a state of shock, Weezer frontman/guitarist Rivers Cuomo (complete with a “CHiPS” era mustache) has been hosting a songwriting contest on his Youtube channel for the past month and a half.
Starting back on March 19th, Cuomo began posting home made movies to his fans and encouraged them to come up with song ideas, chord progressions, lyrics and the works. A few days ago, Cuomo posted the 9th video of his chronology regarding the song, “80’s Radio” and it’s current inception, complete with lyrics:

The frontman has taken lyrical and musical suggestions from many of his Youtube followers. The question, however, is: will this be a completely new Weezer song? Only time will tell, but I’ll be damned if it’s not catchy!
