Tom Waits schedules Monday press conference
Tom Waits has scheduled a press conference for tomorrow morning at 9am EST to presumably announce dates for an upcoming world tour.
The press conference can be streamed via the legendary singer’s newly designed official website.
Based on some of the rumors currently floating around, it appears Waits will begin the U.S. portion of the tour in June and then head over to Europe in July. Then there is that Bonnaroo rumor concerning a superjam with Gogol Bordello’s Eugene Hutz, Les Claypool, and Metallica’s Kirk Hammett.
Of course, everything will be revealed soon enough. Check back to Consequence of Sound for the latest…

Hopefully during the press conference, he will apologize for letting Scarlett Johannsson butcher his songs.
For an English major, that first post of mine was just poor. Eugene HUTZ, not Wutz. Sorry ’bout that. And I left out “one” in the first sentence.
Must have been the excitement over the rumor…
ill definately be trying to catch a show of his, and if that was the superjam at B-Roo that would be something else.
And of those rumors is being part of the Superjam at Bonnaroo. (In an article in the Santa Rosa Press Democrat, Gogol Bordello frontman Eugene Wutz let it slip that he was practicing Tom Waits songs with Kirk Hammet from Metallica and Les Claypool of Primus.)
