Led Zeppelin world tour likely

Those Led Zeppelin tour rumors, which were on the back burner of late, have again been reignited and it now appears that the legendary British band will indeed embark on a world tour in the coming months.

According to the U.K.’s Daily Mirror, Led Zeppelin’s Robert Plant, whose reluctancy has been one of the initial reasons the band has yet to tour thus far, is now warming up to the idea, and it is “almost certain” the band will play a number of shows begining in 2009.

Supergroup Led Zeppelin are set to reform for a world tour after their triumphant one-off reunion concert…

A long-time pal, Whitesnake’s frontman David Coverdale, said yesterday the tour was “very likely” and he was expecting to be the support act.

David said: “I’m expecting a call from Jimmy any day asking my band Whitesnake to support them on their world tour. Am I on board? You bet. Probably worth billions!

More as it comes…

  4. Coverdale wishes he could open for Zeppelin

  5. Whitesnake? Hmm.

  6. [...] you may remember, all this follows rumors that the reluctant Robert Plant may be finally starting to come around to the idea of a world tour. What’s more, his solo tour with Alison Krauss, one of the [...]
