Ted Nugent hits major milestone this summer

After all the guts, the glory, the hunting, the guns, the women and all the rock and roll insanity soaked up in this lifetime, The Motor City Madman will add another notch to his legacy by performing his 6,000th lifetime gig this summer.

Blabbermouth and TicketNews both reported that The Nuge will currently tour this summer starting in June 7th in Sandusky, Ohio (Tommy Callahan would be proud) and ending on September 27th in Reno, Nevada:

Nugent is not out promoting a new album. His latest release was his self-produced 2007’s “Love Grenade.” His stage show though, features most of his chestnuts, including “Journey to the Center of the Mind,” which was recorded by The Amboy Dukes, his group before starting a solo career.

In recent years, Nugent, who has sold more than 35 million albums, has almost become better known for his exploits away from music. An avid hunter, he has advocated for hunters rights, and has been an outspoken political activist. In addition, he also starred in a VH1 television show, called “Surviving Nugent,” where he put contestants through rigorous outdoor training activities.
