Bonnaroo adds Somethin’ Else
In a week that’s seen the rounding out of Bonnaroo activities like this year’s Food Drive and Carpool Contest, the festival announced the addition of what will likely be a tent, though it could be a stage, too. However it’ll be set up, the Bonnaroo website describes it as…
An authentic, down-home New Orleans style music spot. See, Hear and Feel New Orleans Music, Food and Culture while doing your part in the preservation of New Orleans arts and the rebuilding efforts of NOLA!
These acts could most likely round out the ‘Roo lineup…
Henry Butler and the Game Band
Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue
In addition to this, a NEW ORLEANS SUPERJAM led by George Porter, Jr.
And in what seems to be a first for a performance area at Bonnaroo, patrons will have to pay to get in. But this price of admittance actually comes in the form of a donation to benefit the various charities Bonnaroo organizers have chosen to support The New Orleans Musicians Clinic, NOCCA, The New Orleans Musician’s Village, and the Tipitina’s Foundation.
Bonnaroo Music Festival will take place June 12-15, which is just around the corner. Tickets are still available, but they are selling out the lower price tiers, so head over before its all gone. For those that can’t make the dates, be sure to stick around, as we’ll be having excellent coverage from our staff writers, Bill and Laurie Fanelli.
