Win Butler doesn’t like rumors
Earlier this week, reports surfaced that Win Butler and Arcade Fire would be penning the score for Richard Kelly’s upcoming film, The Box. However, Butler has since responded in a posting on his blog, and while the band may write an “instrumental piece or two,” they will not be writing a soundtrack for the film.
All this certainly makes sense considering late October, the band announced they would be taking an extended hiatus.
Butler also went on to advise fans to check out Wolf Parade’s upcoming album and express his admiration for Jay Reatard. In other words, music to listen to while waiting for Arcade Fire’s next and real new album.
