Weezer are antsy, release new single

Weezer must really be getting impatient.

After moving up the release date for the upcoming Red Album by three weeks, citing “the growing demand,” the band has now unveiled the album’s second single. “The Greatest Man That Ever Lived (Variations on a Shaker Hymn)” is now available for digital purchase beginning today via iTunes.

In semi-related news, it looks as if our friends over in Europe will be graced with a Red Album also featuring exclusive covers of “Life is What You Make it” by Talk Talk and The Band’s “The Weight”. Of course, U.S. fans can still buy the deluxe version with a few bonus songs, but still, I do have to say I’m a tad bit jealous.
