Bonnaroo unveils 2008 schedule
With festivities set to begin in exactly three weeks from today, Bonnaroo has finally unveiled its long-awaited 2008 schedule.
Thursday’s events will be kicked off by What Made Milwaukee Famous followed by Superdrag, MGMT, Battles, and Vampire Weekend. George Porter Jr., Russell Batiste Jr., and Brian Stoltz will be holding down the late night portion of events at the recently announced Somethin’ Else stage.
Friday promises The Raconteurs and Chris Rock leading into Metallica’s headlining performance (talk about an odd combo!) with Willie Nelson, Rilo Kiley, and M.I.A. sprinkled in between. In perhaps the day’s biggest conflict, Tiësto and My Morning Jacket will both be playing late night sets on opposing stages. Oh yeah, and then there is that Tom Waits rumored Superjam scheduled to go down at 1am.
Saturday will of course feature Pearl Jam and Jack Johnson. Unfortunately, Mr. Kanye West will not have a much hoped for late night set, but will instead play opposite Johnson on the Which Stage. Iron & Wine and Ben Folds also highlight the festival’s third day, howevers fans will also forced to choose between ?Ozomatli and Gogol Bordello. Saturday’s late night schedule looks particularly spectacular with Phil Lesh, Chromeo, Sigur Rós, Talib Kweli, Lupe Fiasco, and Ghostland Observatory all holding down early morning time slots.
Sunday will be closed out by the recently added Widespread Panic with Robert Plant & Allison Krauss, not Led Zeppelin, and Death Cab for Cutie proceeding the performance. The festival’s final day will also feature Broken Social Scene’s second performance! of the festival along with Robert Randolph’s Revival and Jakob Dylan and the Gold Mountain Rebels.
Still haven’t gotten your tickets yet? There’s still time…
Consequence of Sound will be on the scene in Manchester to provide day-by-day coverage. Until then, you can keep track of all the latest rumblings and grumblings on our Bonnaroo outlook page.

Saturday late night is a absolute killer with Sigur Ros and Talib and Lupe conflicting. Also Friday Minus the Bear and Tegan & Sara hurts as well
still, bonnaroo has just not been the same
