Monterey Music Summit canceled
The second annual Monterey Music Summit, originally scheduled to take place between May 30 and June 1 in Monterey, California, is the latest summer festival to suffer the fate of cancellation. However, unlike the others, the reason has to do with something else.
Some county officials are expressing concerns that stem from the recent spike in violence in Salinas and want Snoop Dogg dropped from the lineup…
The Monterey County Sheriff’s Office has requested that special security conditions be met before Snoop Dogg can perform.

The folks at Monterey confirmed to Consequence of Sound that their unwillingness to adhere with what they view as unreasonable security requirements, in addition to several other issues, have as of now, forced the festival to be canceled. We’ll keep you updated if anything else changes…












It should be mentioned here that many many people were ripped off on this show. I spent $150.00 on advance tickets and NEVER got a refund or any form of credit. I called, I wrote letters, I emailed…all to no avail. Worst concert promotion EVER.
