Marilyn Manson preps new album

Shock rock kingpin Marilyn Manson announced on Kerrang! this morning that plans for a seventh album are currently in the woodwork. The singer recently reunited with his former bassist, Jeordie “Twiggy Ramirez” White, this January and has gone on record to say that the new material will be “very ruthless, very heavy and very violent.”

Manson also revealed a few surprises regarding the album. Slayer guitarist Kerry King and former Smashing Pumpkins guitarist James Iha will have guest spots on the record. Finally, for all those Pumpkins fans out there, there’s some output from the old soul and from what Mr. Manson promises, it should be worth scribbling down in your notebooks.

The album is untitled at the moment, but it will see a release in the winter.
