New Ben Folds album in September
The end of summer is perhaps one of the most depressing times of year. Thankfully, at least for this year, Ben Folds plans on providing a little end of summer fun.
In a recent interview with Billboard, the talented singer/songwriter revealed plans to cap off an upcoming busy next couple of months with the release of his third solo studio album in September. While the album currently lacks a title and a proper release date, it it finished and now in the mixing stage.
Among the tracks expected to appear on the album include, “Hiroshima”, “Free Coffee”, “Kylie From Connecticut”, and “Effington”, all songs which have been debuted live within the last year. Folds will also apparently show off another new track during his upcoming performance at Bonnaroo.
“We’ve got two or three songs that we were sort of holding onto, just so that someone would buy the record. But it’s not a bad idea to play one of those new ones at Bonnaroo; that’s kind of a special show, so we may do that.”

In the meantime, along with Bonnaroo, fans will be able to catch Folds at a few scheduled gig throughout the coming summer months…
