Kate Nash preps new album

Kate Nash is apparently working on the followup to last year’s Made of Bricks, and thanks to boyfriend/Cribs frontman Ryan Jarman, the English native’s second full-length album will have a different sound.

Asked in a recent interview by U.K.’s XFM radio whether the styles an sounds of Jarman had been rubbing off on here, Nash responded:

“Well, maybe,” she replied, “I’ve always really liked punk music so I think it’s something that I always wanted to get more into.”

Nash went on to note the new album may also feature a Motown, Supremes feel as well. Gonzales, who has worked with Feist and Jamie Lidell in the past, is on board to produce the project. No word however, on an album title or release date.
