Winehouse works on material
Turns out Amy Winehouse has a lot of plans for the rest of 2008. You just may not know it yet.
After news came last week that BeyoncĂ© Knowles would be taking over the troubled English singer’s recording duties for the upcoming James Bond film, Quantum Of Solace, it now appears Winehouse has changed her mind and has reaffirmed her desire to record the movie’s theme song.
Amy Winehouse is a Bond girl again - at least as far as the new film’s theme song goes - after she and Mark Ronson buried the hatchet. And not in each other!
The pair, who fell out while trying to record their 007 tune, kissed and made up at Thursday’s Ivor Novello Awards. And contrary to some reports, Amy, 24, (below as Bond) has already penned the lyrics. She said: “I’ve written the song. If they like it they like it, if they don’t they don’t.”
Amy Winehouse wrote a song, you say? Just wait until you read the next part of this news…
Winehouse is also reportedly prepping the followup to 2006’s Grammy award winning Back in Black, recently telling the BBC she has begun working on several songs. The sound is said to be similiar to that heard on Back in Black, “very atmospheric and very love-lorn.”
Of course, all this hinges on the latest rehab drama.
