More Daft Punk will be playing at my house…soon

After an incredibly successful 2007, which saw a series of massive shows and the release of a live album, Daft Punk have reportedly returned to the studio to begin working on their fourth studio.

The news comes from an long-time, now former Daft Punk manager Busy P (aka Pedro Winter) in a recent interview with Australia’s In The Mix, noting the French electronic duo are indeed recording.

“The boys are in a studio in Paris at the moment…And I can’t wait to listen to their new stuff! The good thing is that they are making music at the moment.” While those creative juices are flowing again, it’s not known at this stage when the new album might see the light of day. “They are slow, you know,” Busy P laughed when asked. “They are taking their time, and they have a right.”

Product Shop NYC speculates the album will see a release in Spring of 2010.

Winter steps down after 12 years managing the duo in order to focus more attention on his label, Ed Banger Records.
