Kurt Cobain’s ashes stolen
Even in death, Kurt Cobain’s legend grows every day, whether it be good or bad. According to reports on NME, the late grunge guitarist/singer’s ashes were stolen from his widow Courtney Love’s home sometime recently. The ashes were kept in a pink teddy bear shaped bag with a lock of his hair, the report says. Courtney Love regarded on the subject with some pretty heavy words:
“I can’t believe anyone would take Kurt’s ashes from me. I find it disgusting and right now I’m suicidal. If I don’t get them back I don’t know what I’ll do. They were all I had left of my husband. I used to take them everywhere with me just so I could feel Kurt was still with me. Now it feels like I have lost him all over again.”
The ashes at this point have not been recovered and from the looks of it, they might not be found for quite some time.
