“Wayne’s World” roars back after 14 years

We here at Consequence Of Sound love influences beyond music. For example, The Kids In The Hall’s recent reunion in Milwaukee threw many in for a loop. But sometimes it goes even further, gets even better. Once in a while when the moon rises in full and the rainbow arches, we get a special degree of awesomeness that certainly cannot be ignored.

For the first time since 1994, Wayne Campbell and Garth Algar reunited on MTV, giving Generation X’ers a thrill. And without a doubt, the dynamic duo didn’t miss a beat.

Who hasn’t seen Wayne’s World? Who didn’t grow up in the early 90’s and live to tell the tale of awesome glory? Seriously. Since our freshman year at Florida State University, editor Michael Roffman and I have had our gigantic dream of the third Wayne’s World movie becoming reality. With tonight’s electric performance, the dream may come true. We can’t wish for a miracle, but I’ll be damned if this isn’t close enough!

What a generation gap, huh? We can’t even bust-a-move at arcades anymore! Sh’yeah!
