Calexico has announced details for Carried To Dust, the sixth full-length studio album for Arizona based band. Due out on September 9 via Touch and Go Records, the follow up to 2006’s Garden Ruin will be composed of 16 new tracks and features guest apperances from Sam Beam, Douglas McCombs, and Pieta Brown.

This new record is a shining example of Calexico’s commitment to constantly molting and redefining who they are. A continued examination of their sources of inspiration, /Carried To Dust/ is the next step in Calexico’s ongoing quest of moving forward while never turning its back on the past.

In support of the release, Calexico has also revealed an extensive upcoming tour, set to begin later this month.
