Coldplay drops lots of stuff, plans another album
If there was ever a time to use the word “drop” to describe the actions of a band, then it would now for Coldplay. After laying down details of a new album, world tour, and revealing a music video, “the world’s biggest band” has dropped several new surprises for fans to devour.
To start off, the English natives officially debuted “Chinese Sleep Chant”, a hidden track on Viva la Vida Or Death And All His Friends, last night on Jimmy Kimmel Live. The performance will air on television tonight, but you can check out a fan video below…
Then of course, there is the acoustic version of “Lovers in Japan”, a song that IS on the upcoming album, is making its way around the internet.
That not enough for you? “Lunar”, a track featuring Kylie Minogue that was left off the new album because it was “too sexy” has not popped up on the web, at least not yet, but will apparently be included on Coldplay’s next album, which is apparently due out in early 2009. Yes, that’s right folks. Coldplay are already planning the follow up for the yet to be released Viva la Vida.
I’m sure we’re forgetting more. Like the fake Justice remix of “Violet Hill”… That’s probably because the new round of tour dates got in our way. Check out all the currently announced dates below…
