Kaiser Chiefs work on new album
The Kaiser Chiefs have been working on the follow up to 2007’s Yours Truly, Angry Mob since the New Year. However, only now are we starting to get details about the English native’s currently untitled, third studio album.
Drummer and songwriter Nick Hodgson recently revealed that the band is gunning for a different sound, saying in an interview, “”There’s a big difference between these songs are our old stuff. It’s definitely worth people getting excited about hearing these as they’re are gonna be so different.”
The album will be produced by acclaimed British producer Mark Ronson, who recently explained to XFM Radio what he brings to the album. “No, seriously I’ll hopefully bring the energy of a giant fan, knowing what a Kaiser Chiefs fan would like…I’ve been helping with the arrangements and the songs and I guess being a sort of guru in the studio,” Ronson noted.
So to summarize, it will be a Mark Ronson produced album full of new, changing styles. Sounds like every other new album from a British band?
Well…perhaps to seperate themselves from the fold, the Kaiser Chiefs have reportedly enslisted Lily Allen for a guest apperance.
“It sounds awesome. Lily and RICKY WILSON’s vocals really gel and the instrumentals are top drawer,” [said Ronson]
Ricky and the boys are considering making it the first track on the album, and reckon it has anthem potential.
