After five years in the works, Rilo Kiley bassist Pierre de Reeder will finally release his debut solo album on August 12 via Little Record Company. Entitled The Way That It Was, the 11-track album was produced by Dave Trumfio and will feature guest appearances from fellow Rilo Kiley members Jenny Lewis, Blake Sennett and Jason Boesel.

The album will also be available for purchase at all of Rilo Kiley’s upcoming tour dates.
