Update: Led Zeppelin reunite…kind of

It turns out the rumors were indeed true as last night saw another live reunion of Led Zeppelin. Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones joined Dave Grohl and the Foo Fighters on stage during the band’s final show of their Wembley Stadium residency. As previously noted, Robert Plant, who is currently in the United States in support of his solo work, did not take part in the reunion.

But the whole night was set up for the encore. After leaving the stage following ‘Monkey Wrench’, a clearly emotional Grohl returned to declare, “playing Wembley Stadium is an honour, and if we didn’t take advantage of this opportunity, the greatest fucking night in our band’s lives… for all 86,000 of you motherfuckers, it isn’t gonna be any other show.”

Page and Jones took part in performances of “Ramble On” and “Rock ‘n Roll”, which saw Grohl take over drum duties - something that will certainly add spice to the Zeppelin world tour rumors.
