Metallica unveils new cover art?
Much like a high stakes Texas Hold ‘Em tournament with the game on the line, Metallica are slowly pushing all of their chips into the middle of the table and banking on their newest album bringing them back to their glory days. On Metallica’s website, as well as Blabbermouth, the legendary San Francisco quartet debuted what could possibly be the new album cover for the still untitled 9th record.
METALLICA has posted a mysterious image (see above) on its official web site under the headline “???,” leading to speculation that this is the cover of the band’s much-anticipated new studio album.
The CD is due out in September, with the title expected to be announced soon through the new Mission: Metallica web site.

The band is supposed to announce the name of the album shortly on it’s fanpage, Mission: Metallica. Let’s fire that ace in the hole and hope this is a good one.
