Jaguar Love preps album release, tour

Hot off a contract with Matador Records, experimental rockers Jaguar Love look poised to finish the year off strong with the upcoming release of their debut album, Take Me To The Sea (August 19), and a recently announced U.S. tour in support of The Faint.

The three-piece band, consisting of Johnny Whitney (vocals, piano) and Cody Votolato (guitar, bass) — both formerly of the Blood Brothers and Pretty Girls Make Graves’ J Clark (drums) has begun to earn quite a bit of attention thanks to their heavy melodic guitar sound meets punk energy. The Seattle Times described them as at times sounding like “Queen jamming with Guns N’ Roses.”
