The first part of Bonnaroo Friday brought not only some compelling musical performances, but a few interesting tidbits.

• According to The Tennessean, Bonnaroo organizers have bought more land and plan on installing permanent sidewalks and paths, lighting and a water system.
• Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen are celebrating their 22nd birthday at the farm…
• Our friends over at WNEW are also live and on site and spent last night checking out MGMT, Battles, and Janeane Garofalo…
