Interview: The Postelles

Yesterday, Matt Friedman had the opportunity to sit down with The Postelles, four kids from Brooklyn, who though only been together for less than a year, are already playing Bonnarooo and Lollapalooza this summer along with a few support stings for The Whigs.

In addition to the high-profile dates, the band, composed of Daniel Balk, John Speyr, David Dargahi, and Billy Cadden, has drawn much praise from numerous media outlets, including Spin Magazine, Zane Lowe of BBC Radio 1, and Music Week UK, being proclaimed as the next big thing in the New York music scene.

Oh, and did we mention their latest single, “1 2 3 Stop” was produced by The Strokes’ Albert Hammond Jr.? Thankfully, despite all the attention, the band took some times out of their busy Bonnaroo schedule to talk with Consequence of Sound
