Sex Pistols work on follow up?
It only took thirty-one years, but aging (and I stress this) punk rockers, the Sex Pistols, are considering a sophomoric follow up to Never Mind the Bollocks, Here’s the Sex Pistols. Frontman Johnny Rotten (or maybe John Lydon to a few) seems all excited about working on something other than the eleven tracks they wrote back when Nixon was still in office. Take this with a grain of salt, but here’s the dish.
“It’s a nice rumour [that the band will record another album] and it might possibly be true we are attempting to,” he said. “It’s like all things Sex Pistols – it’s riddled in chaos. “You know, who knows what the future will hold? Maybe no future. So far I’ve proved that wrong. I’ve got a splendid future.”

Given that Glen Matlock was always the original bassist, the line up could make a consistent record. The only problem? They’re all in their late forties and fifties! It’s time to move on, guys. Hell, we all know what happened with The Stooges’ reunited debacle last year. The Weirdness, anyone? Ugh.

Amen to that!
Don’t do it. Nevermind the Bollocks is still the definitive punk album. Don’t fuck it up with a shit release 30 years later.
Yeah, like I said, shit idea.
As an avid listener of The Clash, to think Springsteen has anything to do with them is - to use a Sex Pistols reference - bollocks.
He has the nerve as a celebrated Jersey boy Americana lyricist to combine forces with one of the greatest punk acts in rock history? That’s like sticking Lee Greenwood on tour with Rage Against The Machine.
“God Bless The U.S.A., and Fuck Tha Police!”
Pretty picture? I think not.
Yes, I agree. I think Springsteen fronting The Clash and recording a new album would be a better idea than this and that’s a SHIT idea.
Honestly, I give mucho credit to the Sex Pistols for their influence on punk in the 70s (big fan), but that’s just it!
Their time to get more albums in the catalog and add to their prowess passed decades ago.
This is going to be a very bad idea.
All for it, pal. These guys blow, as far as I’m concerned.
You gotta be shittin’ me.
I want dibs on the review if this is true!
