Virgin Fest once again lets you book the band
The folks behind this year’s Virgin Mobile Festival, set to take place between August 9 and 10 in Baltimore, Maryland, are once again putting the lineup in the fans’ hands - at least for the decision when it comes Saturday’s opener.
Virgin is once again running its “Book the Band” contest, an interactive vote that lets fans choose who will open the main stage. The five eligible bands are:
Obviously, if you were to put money on it, you’d think We Are Scientists or The Virgins would easily run away with this. But after last year’s vote, which saw Aiden upset the Cold War Kids, it seems anything is possible and perhaps that is why, as of right now, Hollywood Undead is in the lead.

Yeah, We Are Scientists were amazing at South By Southwest a couple years ago.
I’m willing to bet that Automatic Loveletter wins - based partially on the fact that Aiden won last year. Also, if you check back to my Bamboozle review, I saw a couple members of the band perform an acoustic set and didn’t think they were bad at all.
