Oberst & Lewis to tour

Talk about a super duo, huh? The likes of Conor Oberst and (our favorite) Jenny Lewis are set to tour, beginning this summer and edging into the fall. Why? They both have solo records to support. While Oberst’s disc hits the web on August 4th, Lewis’ second solo effort is still in the cards. If that doesn’t do it for you, then maybe word on who will be backing our favorite depressed frontman will…

The heretofore hush-hush coterie known as the Mystic Valley Band– who helped Conor work up his new set last winter in Mexico– has been revealed, too, and it’s full of your usual suspects: Nate Walcott of Bright Eyes, Team Love recording artist Nik Freitas, Macey Taylor (brother of Maria), Rilo Kiley drummer Jason Boesel, and Alabama rocker Taylor Hollingsworth.

To get a taste of what Oberst might be offering, he’s currently streaming two songs off his upcoming release, via his official site. As for Lewis? We don’t have any particular digs yet, but there’s always this! Go and spice up your desktop, why don’t ya!
