Eminem confirms fifth album
The worst kept secret has finally been “officially” revealed. Eminem has indeed returned to the studio and is currently in the process of writing and recording his long-awaited fifth studio album.
Though Eminem’s planned return has been common knowledge for some time, the acclaimed rapper recently confirmed the news during LL Cool J’s radio program on the Marshall Mathers’ owned Shade 45, noting that “everything is good… I’m just in the studio right now working on songs and stuff like that.”
Details pertaining to the follow up of 2004’s Encore remain sketchy, though it is expected to see a release before the end of the year.
Rumors of Eminem’s fifth studio album and subsequent return from a three-plus year hiatus began thanks to the comments of fellow rapper 50 Cent last fall. In an interview with Blender Magazine, he proclaimed, “[Eminem's] got a new album coming. He’s not gonna tell people that, but he’s making new music. I’ve heard a few songs, and it’s hot. He won’t tell nobody he’s working on a new album, but I’ll tell you: he’s working on new music. And once he locks into it, like, ‘This is my favorite shit,’ it’s gonna come out.”
Eminem currently has one scheduled live appearance - a performance at Nelson Mandela’s upcoming birthday celebration on June 27 in London’s Hyde Park. The show is being billed by some as the rapper’s “big stage to make his comeback.”

8.grand finale….killing kim once again…you can hear haley crying in the background.
I’m on Riggin’s side with this. I am a fan, and last time I looked, Marshall has had his hands in everything from merchandising to production to his own channel on Sirius.
What exactly is he coming back from?
On the other hand, that last studio album was kind of half-assed in lyrical quality. Tack on a ‘greatest hits’ album, which is not usually a good sign for someone’s career (despite his business skills) - and one wonders a bit about any real remainder of MUSICAL depth.
But comeback? Not quite.
He took a break from writing, but the man is still working and shamelessly plugging himself and Shady Records (cue the random name-drop).
We can only hope the wait for this album will be worth it.
You guys are too much. There is a reason I stress out too much…
Checkmate, Sean Riggin’s!
Oh that show is Eminem’s comeback? I didnt realize he needed a comeback. Last time I checked, he never stopped selling millions of records!
