Could Phish reunite?
The question comes up in any Bonnaroo forum every January, “Do you think Phish will reunite?” Considering the lackluster reunion spot this year (Led Zeppelin,
where were you?), the prospect of a Phish reunion is not only understandable, but fitting. Given the band’s recent activities, the idea is not too far off. By the way, does all this Phish discussion make anyone else hungry for this?
It’ll be four years come August since the band played together, but there’s a hot rumor going on, so hot in fact that Billboard has even reported on it, convincing everyone of a new Phish record. Here’s the dish…
The short version: Phish is definitely reuniting and there will be a new Phish album produced by Steve Lillywhite, who produced Billy Breathes over 12 years ago.

Well, if this holds true and if Trey and his boys manage to squeeze out a follow up to 2004’s Undermined, then Bonnaroo 2009 might sink the very foundations of Tennessee, what with Led Zeppelin and Phish fans to boot? Then again, I’m just speculating..

Exactly! The Sex Pistols suck!!! Horrible band. Granted if it weren’t for them we wouldn’t have bands like Nirvana or the Pixies.
phish puts on their own festivals.
I’d say Bonnaroo would be the place for Phish to play at, really. It’s big enough there and it has roots there.

Phish could come back but so could The Sex Pistols, do we really want it to happen though?
While I think Rothbury offers the most reasonable chance of a Phish reunion, I’m not sure how realistic it is. Still, it’d certainly be cool to see…
