Sébastien Tellier to get sexual in U.S.
After a successful European release of his newest album, Sexuality, Sébastien Tellier is now setting sights on the U.S. However, the Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo (Daft Punk) produced, 11-track LP, will not see an extensive initial release, at least for the first few months, as the French singer/song writer will be releasing his latest effort exclusively through American Apparel stores.
Sexuality will be available on CD and vinyl LP formats alongside the new single Divine (7″ and 12″ versions) in store and online at www.americanapparel.net. To promote Sexual Sportswear, the album’s first single, American Apparel created two exclusive garments - the SexualiT and SexualiTank - which will be in stores for a limited time only.
The album will see a proper physical release in October.
[The album] is like a taste of fruit – very juicy and full of sugar. It is not at all like what I have released before and nothing like what Guy-Man did with Daft Punk. It’s a very unique situation. It’s very electronic and like intellectual R&B, although not in the same way that Beyoncé or Justin Timberlake are R&B.
