Chemical Brothers ready “Best Of”
The Chemical Brothers have announced plans for the release of a new compilation album before the end of the year. Scheduled to hit music shelves on September 2, Brotherhood will feature two discs, one composed of previously released singles, while the largely unheard “Electronic Battle Weapons” experimental material fills the other.
Since 1996 Electronic Battle Weapons have acted as the laboratories for The Chems devious musical experiments and laid the rhythmic and melodic foundations for numerous tracks as well as providing some of the duos most formidable mixes. Until now Electronic Battle Weapons 1-9 have only been available on various limited formats and this is the first time they have been widely available.
Yet Brotherhood won’t be all old. Along with 13 classic singles pulled from the English duo’s impressive discography, disc one will also consist of “Keep My Composure,” a new song featuring guest vocals from Spank Rock. “Midnight Madness”, is the name of the compilation’s other new tune as well as the album’s first single.
