AC/DC set for August release
We’ve been following this album for months now, but AC/DC is finally releasing their long awaited follow up to 2000’s Stiff Upper Lip. There isn’t a solid release date yet, but the Aussies are coming back in August, with a tour that’s sure to sell out within seconds (especially considering it’s rumored to be their last). In light of the new release, Sony is 
even throwing out a contest to celebrate…
Sony is giving one lucky fan the chance to win a prized copy of this seminal record plus a copy of every album in the band’s back catalogue (subject to availability). Five runners-up will also receive a copy of the new album too. The contest runs from now until Setpember 1, 2008, which means you’ll have to wait for the new album past its release if you’ve won. Come this Fall, everyone will be feeling the craze of AC/DC again. Looking ahead, it’s kind of hard to imagine them back, but let’s hope the new material can stand up to the likes of “Hells Bells” or “T.N.T.” Though, even if the album is a flash in the pan, at least we’ll have a kick ass show to attend.
I’ll be crossing them off my “Have to See Before I Die” list.
