Pitchfork Music Festival releases schedule

Pitchfork Music Festival releases schedule

In what has shaped up to be the likely surprise hit event of the summer, this year’s edition of the Pitchfork Music Festival released its schedule today, and from the looks of it, there shouldn’t be too many colossal conflicts (though, to each their own, I say). As predicted, the headliners are still: Public Enemy, Animal Collective, and Spoon - three acts that alone celebrate a diversity in music that should really cap off a great July Chicago weekend, the 18th-20th to be exact.

Well, enough talking, here’s the schedule:

From the short hand look of it all, I know I’ll be griping about missing Cut Copy for Dinosaur Jr., while !!! is going to have to submit to Vampire Weekend on Saturday. But hey, The Hold Steady will be on right after. Oh ya, and the nerd in me is already thinking, “This is the same weekend that The Dark Knight opens!”

Does anyone know how to hibernate? These three weeks need to go by, like now!
