Along with a few recently announced tour dates, come the next few months, the Jesus and Mary Chain will be busy celebrating the release of a new rarities box set. The Power of Negative Thinking: B-Sides & Rarities, set to hit music stores on September 30 via Rhino Records, will feature 81 tracks on four discs along with photos, interviews, and even a  hand-drawn family tree documenting the band’s history.

The tracklist runs chronologically, ranging from the Scottish native’s earliest demos to most recent b-sides and everything else in between.

Aside from the boxset and tour dates (see below), Pitchfork also speculates that a new album could also be on the way. The Jesus and Mary Chain haven’t released a new studio album since 1998’s Munki.
