Who wasn’t at Nelson Mandela’s birthday party?

Nelson Mandela really set a standard when it comes to birthday parties. Celebrating his 90th birthday yesterday at Hyde Park, the former president was greeted to the sites and sounds of what essentially was his own personal music festival.

While Eminem didn’t show up, many big names did, including Paul Rodgers, Queen, Josh Groban, Razorlight, and Amy Winehouse (w/ liquor). Along with performing, Will Smith hosted the event, while everyone from Bill Clinton to Oprah could be found in attendance.

Our work is for freedom for all … We say tonight, after nearly 90 years of life, it is time for new hands to lift the burdens. It is in your hands now, I thank you.”
