Introducing the Up North Festival
Time to chalk up another music festival for early August.
The inaugural Up North Festival is the latest in what is becoming an awfully large list of Northeast music festivals scheduled to go down during the first two weeks of August. We now currently count six with the inclusion of Up North - Virgin, APW, North American Union, the Newport Folk Fest, and Gathering of the Vibes being the other five. And of course, the now canceled Vineland Music Festival was supposed to take place during this time as well.
Regardless, Up North, set to take place between August 8 and 10 in lovely Hiram, Maine of all places, will still seek to thrill festival-goers with the sounds of their jam-friendly, initial lineup. Bob Weir, Umphrey’s McGee, and The Wailers make up the scheduled headliners with the rest of the lineup looking like this:
BOB WEIR & RATDOG, Umphrey’s McGee, The Wailers, The Everyone Orchestra conducted by Matt Butler (feat. Jon Fishman), Soulive, rjd2, Assembly of Dust, Railroad Earth, Ryan Montbleau Band, Lettuce, John Brown’s Body, Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad, The Breakfast, Spiritual Rez, The Indobox, Sam Kininger Band, Peter Prince and the Johnny Trama Unit, The Brew, Eddy Dyer and the Walking Shoe Revival, Incus, Jimkata
