New bands take over the next Guitar Hero?

Unless you’ve been living under a rock this decade, the biggest video game phenomenon of the 21st Century known as Guitar Hero has taken the world by force, frustrating guitarists and making kings of video game gurus. According to a report on Blabbermouth as well as The Pulse Of Radio, rumors are swirling in regards to some of the newest artists emerging into the next chapter of the said video game.

The list of musical idols includes Ozzy Osbourne, Smashing Pumpkins’ Billy Corgan, Jimi Hendrix, Blink 182/+44 drummer Travis Barker, Sting and a few others. Music from Korn, System Of A Down and Tool will also be featured too, apparently.

The survey says that the game will feature 85 songs, with FOO FIGHTERS, MUSE and THE DOORS also mentioned.

The lineup of Guitar Hero: World Tour has yet to be confirmed.

Photos of Billy Corgan in a motion capture suit recently surfaced online, fueling speculation that an avatar of him would appear in an upcoming game.

In the meantime, don those plastic SG’s, plug in, reload, relax, enjoy the summer and let’s hope this new installment of Guitar Hero is worth its weight in gold.

  1. Korn?…this must be Guitar Hero ‘99.

  2. Excuse the typo B. Thanks for posting!

  3. Billy Corgan can suck an ass today. 10 years ago, I would have killed for him.

  4. Blind 182 isn’t a band
