Ben Folds details new album
Ben Folds has dropped a few more details about plans for that upcoming album release that he first hinted at last month. In fact, his third solo album now not only has a title, but a release date as well. Fancy that!
In an interview with Paste Magazine, Folds revealed that Way To Normal will hit the street on September 16 via Epic Records. What’s more, the North Carolina native also dropped some nuggets regarding the tracklist, which will include “You Don’t Know Me”, a described quirky duet with CoS favorite Regina Spektor! Is anyone else thinking about what type of musical prodigy those two would produce if they got together and had a kid? I can’t even fathom!
Other tracks include “Hiroshima”, “Free Coffee”, and “Errant Dog”, all songs which were performed during the most recent edition of Bonnaroo.
“It’s a fairly un-orchestral record,” Folds tells Paste. “It’s a fairly lyric-driven rock record. We’ve looked at taking a few of the songs on the new record and scoring them for orchestra and, uh, it was kind of slim pickins.”
Ben Folds 2008 Tour Dates:

09/07 - Nashville, TN @ Schermerhorn Symphony Center
10/03 - Ft. Wayne, FL @ Embassy Theatre

He preformed “Hiroshima” and “Errant Dog” in Columbus at the Newport on March 5th, 2008. “Hiroshima” is amazing.
Yep. I was just pointing out that he also played them at Bonnaroo.
