When it was first revealed that American Eagle would be hosting a music festival this summer, more than a few people were skeptical. After all, what could a clothing store possibly know about bands, stages, schedules, and every other dynamic that ultimately defines the success of a summer music extravaganza?
Apparently enough. Thanks to the help of curator Anthony Kiedis, the inaugural edition of the New American Music Union, set to go down between August 8 and 9 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, promises to offer an experience easily rivaling some of the other high-profile festivals taking place in early August.
Along with a lineup of quality, upper-tier acts, headed by the likes of Bob Dylan and The Raconteurs, the New American Music Union will also showcase a number of the country’s best college bands, one of the more unique characteristics of any festival this summer.
Consequence of Sound has the pleasure of giving away a pair of two-day passes* to a lucky member of our readership. If interested, drop us an email with your name, email address, and mailing address. We will select one winner at random next Wednesday, July 17.
