Check Out: New music from some of our favourite Brits!
In just so happens that two pretty high-profile bands, both from the U.K., both dropped new material via their respective websites today. So in an effort to keep things simple, and since they are from the same country, we figured it’d be fine to combine the details into what post…
The Cure are back with single #3 of their four month long, new single every month extravaganza leading up to the release of their new, still untitled studio album on September 13. This one, entitled “Sleep When I’m Dead”, conveniently begins playing automatically loading the band’s website. Looking for a physical copy? The single, complete with the b-side, “Down Under”, is now available at records everywhere! According to the phenomenal Cure news blog, Chain of Flowers, “The Perfect Boy”, the album’s fourth and final single, will be released on August 12.
And then there is Coldplay. With their world tour finally kicking off later tonight in Los Angeles, the British natives have put up a song entitled “Death Will Never Conquer” as a free download via their website. All you have to do to get the Viva La Vida b-side is submit the standard email information.

In case you were wondering, Stereogum has details of that “twist”…
