Oasis offers details of new artwork, tracks
From the never-ending search for a new drummer to the war of words with Jay-Z, it’s easy to forget that the Gallagher brothers are indeed gearing up for the release of a new album. But with the release of Dig Out Your Soul, Oasis’ seventh studio album, just a few months away, October 6th to be exact, most of our focus will soon be on “groovy” styles and sounds of the new effort, rather than all that aforementioned, petty stuff.
Earlier today, Oasis took the first step in the process, with the release of both Dig Out Your Soul’s artwork and tracklist. The Dave Sardy produced album will feature 11 new tracks with a song entitled, “The Shock Of The Lightning”, set to be released as the first single on September 29. The album cover is from an original piece of art by London-based designer, Julian House.

[...] But before you get to caught up in the words, we would like to point out that the band does have allegiance to some other notable Brits… “I love Oasis. I love them. I think that what they do is earnest. I think it’s honest. When they get up and do what they do, it’s one take and they get up and they perform. I trust Noel Gallagher to do a good job with the record.” [...]
