Pitchfork is this weekend, watch it online

Aside from the release of The Dark Knight, something I’m personally a bit more excited about, this upcoming weekend will also mark another edition of the Pitchfork Music Festival. While Consequence of Sound’s Michael Roffman and Matt Sanders will be there to provide coverage of the event, for those of you who won’t be gracing Chicago’s Union Park, you’ll still have an opportunity to watch all the festivities online.

Pitchfork will stream a majority of this weekends on a live webcast via the festival’s website. And when we say “majority”, we mean it. After all, just look at the acts scheduled to appear on the webcast:

Friday July 18
6:00 pm Mission of Burma
7:15 pm Sebadoh
8:30 pm Public Enemy

Saturday July 19
1:00 pm Titus Andronicus
1:30 pm Jay Reatard
2:00 pm Caribou
3:00 pm Fleet Foxes
4:00 pm Dizzee Rascal
5:00 pm Vampire Weekend
6:00 pm !!!
7:00 pm The Hold Steady
8:00 pm Jarvis Cocker
9:00 pm Animal Collective

Sunday July 20:
1:00 pm Times New Viking
1:30 pm The Dirty Projectors
2:00 pm Boris
3:00 pm The Apples in Stereo
4:00 pm Les Savy Fav
5:00 pm Dodos
6:00 pm M. Ward
7:00 pm Spiritualized
8:00 pm Dinosaur Jr.
9:00 pm Spoon

Until Pitchfork’s official kickoff on Friday, the online player will be showing footage of past festivals. Single day tickets for both Friday and Sunday are still available via ticketweb.com.

You can check out the full lineup and day-by-day schedule at our Pitchfork Festival outlook page.
