Plant & Krauss continue into the Fall

Plant & Krauss continue into the Fall

Despite the fact that nearly everyone else in the world really, really wants a Led Zeppelin reunion tour, the band’s frontman still doesn’t at all seem too enthused with the idea. In fact, during an press conference yesterday to announce a new leg of tour dates with Alison Krauss, Robert Plant went as far to essentially ignore the topic all together.

Robert Plant simulated snoring when he was asked on Monday whether Led Zeppelin would reunite for a world tour in the near future…

“Zzzzzzzzzzz,” Plant said at a press conference in Toronto, before pretending to fall asleep.

While the band has yet to make any official comments regarding a worldwide tour, it appears, at the moment, the only thing holding it back are comments like these. Despite the months of rumors, mini-reunions, and even “supposed” leaked details that Velvet Revolver will be opening for Zepellin when the tour finally comes about, Plant’s reluctancy has all but put an end on any impending announcement.

Instead, as he is done over the past few months, the Zeppelin frontman has instead chosen to focus on his collaboration with Alison Krauss. Beginning at the end of September, the duo, backed by their T-Bone Burnet lead ensemble, will hit several locations on the west coast, including a headlining stint at the free Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival.

  1. Not everyone in the world is looking for a Zeppelin reunion. In fact, there are quite a lot of Robert’s fans who couldn’t care less about it. As Robert has pointed out many times, the O2 show was a one off gig for a good cause and to honor a man who was amazingly influential in the music world, not just for Robert but for many outstanding artists of the last three decades. People are really missing out by sitting back and “blaming” Robert for not reforming, when they could be discovering a whole new world of music by following his musical journeys. It can’t stay 1972 forever.
