ACL gets David Byrne AND Brian Eno? + aftershows

Austin City Limits just got a lot more interesting, and all it took was the inclusion of one man. According to Billboard.com, Brian Eno will join David Byrne for several fall tour dates, which will include the former Talking Heads’ scheduled Friday performance at this year’s edition of ACL.
The shows are billed as “The Songs of Talking Heads’ David Byrne and Roxy Music founder Brian Eno.” Fans can expect a wealth of material from the period when the Talking Heads and Eno collaborated closely, including 1980’s landmark “Remain in Light,” as well as songs from throughout Eno’s time with Roxy Music and beyond.
Of course, all this comes in the wake of news that the duo is once again collaborating on a new studio album that is expected to see release before the end of the year.
Additional shows are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
