Liz Phair gears up for a few more rounds of Exile in Guyville
On the heels of recent performances in Los Angeles, New York, and Chicago, one which specifically turned out to be a great photo opportunity, Liz Phair has announced three new dates where fans of her 1993 classic, and recently reissued, Exile in Guyville, will be able to hear it performed live in its entirety.
Exile in Guyville, which was out of print, is again available on CD, vinyl and - for the first time ever - in digital format. The special reissue package includes three never-before-released songs from the original recording sessions: “Ant in Alaska,” with Phair simply accompanying herself on guitar, “Say You,” which features Phair and a full band, and an untitled instrumental with Liz on guitar. Phair has also just completed a new, 80-minute DVD, “Guyville Redux,” for the reissue.
In addition to the upcoming shows, Phair is reportedly also working on new studio material for a forthcoming fall release.
