Lamb Of God hit the studio for follow up to Sacrament
Could Lamb of God possibly be the best modern day heavy metal band? There’s no doubt that they certainly have achieved quite a bit in the past few years. With the release of 2006’s masterpiece Sacrament, Lamb of God have certainly attained critical and commercial acclaim all around the world. Blabbermouth and Metal Injection report that the Richmond, Virginia quintet of thrash guitar prowess will be heading into the studio in September to cut the follow-up to Sacrament, which will see an early 2009 release.
Lamb Of God vocalist Randy Blythe told Metal Injection that they recently turned down a major tour with Metallica to focus on working and finishing the new album. 2008 is far from over and it looks like it just got a whole lot better for metalheads everywhere and that’s not bad for a band that’s walking through hell.
Also don’t forget, Blythe will be guesting his vocals on Gojira’s new record as well. This will be a great autumn season!
