The Fratellis unveil North American tour dates

After hitting the U.S. last month for a few shows, The Fratellis have announced plans to return with a full-fledged North American tour. Beginning in September, the Scottish natives will tour the country in support of their recently released sophomore effort, Here We Stand.

Of course, all this still depends on whether frontman Jon Fratelli decides to step on an airplane. After an emergency landing by a Qantas airlines last week, the Fratellis figurehead, at least according to Gigwise, isn’t so sure he’ll be flying anytime soon.

“I might just decide never to fly again. I was getting better. The phobia wasn’t so bad, then pieces of aeroplanes rip off and they show it all over the news and freak you out…

What’s worse is it was a Qantas plane flying from London to Australia, which is what I’m getting on on Monday. I don’t need it, man. I could really do without seeing that kind of thing.”

Thankfully the band doesn’t have to worry about flying to the U.S. for a few more months.

Pre-sale tickets will be available begining Wednesday, July 30th via The Fratelli’s official website. The band will be joined by The Airborne Toxic Event and Electric Touch for a number of the upcoming shows.
