Kings of Leon, Bob Dylan exchange new singles for email addresses
Who would have imagined a day when an email address was valued more than a dollar? But with the economy in shambles (hey! lets not get political!) and mailing lists quickly becoming band’s favorite new means of communication, email address are becoming the new price for music.
The latest to get in on the fun?
In anticipation of their upcoming album Only By The Night, due out September 23 on RCA Records, Kings of Leon has dished on the first single, “Crawl”, for free via the band’s website. The song comes accompanied with a video…
Alright, so Kings of Leon. Makes sense.
But Bob Dylan? Now that isn’t a name you often associate with the internet. However, the legendary singer/songwriter has indeed decided to dabble in the world wide web with a new promotion in support of his upcoming bootleg album, Tell Tale Signs. Dylan is offering a free download of “Dreamin’ Of You”, the first single off the eighth installment of the best-selling and critically lauded Bootleg Series, scheduled to hit music shelves on October 7.

Two new songs for the price of one email address? Can’t get better than that!

Definitely NOT digging the sound of that KOL single. I think opening for U2 was the worst thing that could have happened to these guys. They are one of my favs, but I’m pretty nervous about this album. I liked it better when they drank and smoked excessively and were giant man-whores.
